These Terms of Service govern your use of the The John Art Store online store and purchases made from us. By using the store or submitting an order, you agree to these terms and to our published policies.

Store information

The John Art Store operates this store using Shopify and works with third-party production, payment, shipping, and fulfillment providers to process and deliver orders.

Products and product information

We try to describe and display products accurately. Colours can vary slightly between screens and printed products, and natural wood frames can have normal variation. Measurements are approximate. Product availability, specifications, packaging, and materials may change when an equivalent or better component is required, provided the essential product ordered is not materially changed.

Orders

Your order is an offer to purchase. We may accept, decline, or cancel an order for reasons including payment failure, suspected fraud, pricing or listing errors, product unavailability, delivery restrictions, or an inability to fulfill the order. If we cancel an order after payment has been collected, we will refund the affected amount.

Prices, payment, and taxes

Prices are displayed in the currency shown in the store and can change without notice. The price and any shipping charges or applicable taxes confirmed at checkout apply to your order. You represent that you are authorized to use the payment method submitted.

Shipping, returns, and refunds

Our shipping policy and refund policy form part of these terms. Delivery dates are estimates unless we expressly state otherwise.

Intellectual property

The store design, artwork, images, product names, written content, and other materials provided by The John Art Store are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Purchasing a product does not transfer reproduction, resale, digital distribution, or other intellectual property rights.

Acceptable use

You must not misuse the store, interfere with its security or operation, submit fraudulent information, attempt unauthorized access, or use store content in a way that violates law or another person's rights.

Third-party services and links

The store may use or link to third-party services. Those services can have their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for third-party websites that we do not control.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the store and its content are provided without warranties beyond those expressly stated in these terms or required by law. The John Art Store is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the store or a product. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without limiting any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply in your place of residence.

Changes

We may update these terms by publishing a revised version. The version in effect when an order is placed applies to that order.
